Siberian Husky Assistance And Rescue of New York is an all volunteer 501c3 non profit organization dedicated to providing a second chance for stray, abandoned, abused or otherwise homeless Siberian Huskies. We started SHARPofNY in memory of Avalanche and Kendra, two very special white Siberian Huskies who were once homeless abandoned puppies scheduled for euthanasia at a local municipal city shelter. They touched the lives of all of those who knew them. Sadly they passed on the same day 8/8/2013. They are together again.
With over 50 years of Siberian Husky ownership and knowledge, our goal is to educate the public about the breed and also find suitable loving permanent homes to Homeless Huskies.
Currently we do not have a shelter facility but provide homes for unwanted huskies through a network of foster homes. Our goal is to eventually have a facility so that we can increase our rescue efforts.
We rely solely on donations to continue our efforts. If you would like to donate please click on the donate button below.
